What is Depression & Anxiety Treatment?

Hope Restoration Center's Depression & Anxiety program provides comprehensive, evidence-based outpatient treatment for adults living with depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, panic disorder, and social anxiety. These are among the most common — and most treatable — mental health conditions.

Our licensed clinicians combine the most effective evidence-based therapies — CBT, DBT, and ACT — to address both the symptoms and the root causes of depression and anxiety. Your treatment may include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Structured goal-setting & progress reviews
  • Mindfulness & wellness skills training
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
  • Individual & group therapy sessions
  • Anxiety management & behavioral activation
Hope Restoration Center — Depression & Anxiety, Sandy Utah
"Depression lies. Anxiety exaggerates. But with the right clinical support, both can be treated effectively — and life on the other side is worth fighting for."

Depression and anxiety treatment is ideal for adults experiencing persistent low mood, hopelessness, excessive worry, panic attacks, or social avoidance — regardless of whether symptoms are mild, moderate, or severe. You do not have to wait until things feel unbearable to reach out.

What to Expect

Step 1 — Comprehensive Clinical Assessment
Your journey begins with a thorough clinical assessment with a licensed clinician. Together you will explore your symptom history, what has and has not worked before, your daily life impact, and your goals. This assessment shapes a personalized treatment plan built specifically around your experience of depression and anxiety.
Step 2 — Your Personalized Treatment Plan +
Based on your assessment, your clinician selects the most appropriate therapy modalities for your specific situation — whether that is CBT for anxiety, DBT for emotional regulation, or ACT for depression. Every plan is personalised and built around your goals.
Step 3 — Psychoeducation & Skills Building +
Early in treatment, your clinician helps you understand how depression and anxiety work — what maintains them, what triggers them, and what breaks the cycle. Skills workshops cover behavioral activation, anxiety management, thought challenging, and relaxation techniques that provide immediate relief alongside deeper therapeutic work.
Step 4 — Active Therapy & Behavioral Change +
This is the core of treatment — where real change happens. Using CBT, ACT, DBT, or ERP, your clinician works with you session by session to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, reduce avoidance behaviours, build distress tolerance, and develop a more balanced, flexible relationship with your thoughts and emotions.
Step 5 — Progress Reviews & Plan Adjustments +
Progress is reviewed regularly with your clinician. Your treatment plan is updated based on what is working — and adjusted where a different approach would help more. You are always an active partner in your own care.
Step 6 — Relapse Prevention & Maintenance Planning +
As symptoms improve, your clinician works with you to build a maintenance plan — identifying early warning signs, reinforcing the skills that have worked, and planning for future stressors. Step-down to less frequent sessions is planned and supported to ensure lasting, sustainable recovery.
