What are Trauma & PTSD Services?

Hope Restoration Center's Trauma & PTSD Services provide evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment for adults who have experienced traumatic events and are living with the lasting effects — including PTSD, complex trauma, and trauma-related anxiety and depression.

Our licensed trauma clinicians create a safe, structured, and compassionate environment where adults can process past trauma at a pace that feels manageable — never rushed, never forced. Your treatment may include:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
  • Individual trauma therapy sessions
  • Survivor support groups
  • Somatic & mindfulness-based approaches
  • Safety planning & grounding techniques
  • Family psychoeducation where appropriate
Hope Restoration Center — Trauma & PTSD Services, Sandy Utah
"Trauma does not have to define your future. With the right support, the right approach, and a team that genuinely cares — healing is possible. We have seen it happen, and we are here to help make it happen for you."

Trauma & PTSD services are ideal for adults who have experienced a single traumatic event, repeated or complex trauma, childhood trauma, or any experience that continues to affect their daily life, relationships, sleep, or sense of safety — regardless of how long ago it occurred.

What to Expect

Step 1 — Trauma-Informed Assessment
Your journey begins with a confidential, trauma-informed assessment with a licensed trauma clinician. This is a safe, unhurried conversation — we go at your pace. Together we explore your history, current symptoms, and goals, and determine the most appropriate trauma treatment approach for where you are right now.
Step 2 — Your Personalized Trauma Treatment Plan +
Your assigned trauma clinician develops a personalized treatment plan selecting the most appropriate evidence-based modalities for your specific trauma history and symptoms. The plan outlines session frequency, treatment goals, stabilization techniques, and a clear pathway through trauma processing at a pace you are comfortable with.
Step 3 — Stabilization & Grounding +
Before any deep trauma processing begins, your clinician ensures you have strong stabilization and grounding skills in place. This phase builds the foundation of safety, emotional regulation, and coping tools that make trauma processing possible — and ensures you feel secure before going deeper.
Step 4 — Trauma Processing +
Using EMDR, CPT, or TF-CBT — or a combination — your clinician guides you through the structured processing of traumatic memories and experiences. This is where the core of healing happens. Sessions are carefully paced, and your clinician is always present to support you through difficult material.
Step 5 — Integration & Meaning-Making +
As trauma processing progresses, your clinician helps you integrate what you have worked through into a new understanding of yourself and your experiences. This phase focuses on rebuilding identity, reconnecting with values, and developing a hopeful, grounded sense of your future beyond trauma.
Step 6 — Ongoing Support & Aftercare Planning +
As you near the end of active trauma treatment, your clinician works with you to build a comprehensive aftercare plan — including step-down therapy options, community support, survivor support groups, and self-care strategies that sustain your healing long after sessions end.
